Cancellation and Deferral Policy

Effective Date: September 1, 2026

SteadyState Work Partners™ intentionally keeps TAU cohorts small to support participant safety, program quality, and individualized attention. When you enroll, your payment reserves one of a limited number of spaces in a specific TAU engagement.
We understand that plans and circumstances can change. This policy explains your options if you need to cancel or defer your enrollment, as well as what happens if SteadyState Work Partners™ must make a change.

Your TAU Start Date is the published date on which your TAU engagement begins.

TAU begins before the outdoor field experience. The first phase of the engagement includes required onboarding, preparation, observation, readiness activities, and individual calibration before your first in-person field session.

All cancellation and deferral deadlines are calculated from your TAU Start Date—not your first field-session date.

TAU is not available for direct online purchase. Before being invited to enroll, prospective participants complete an Introductory Conversation and Program Readiness Review.

Participants moving forward receive an Invitation to Enroll and individual payment instructions for their selected engagement. Enrollment is confirmed when payment is received.

If you need to cancel your enrollment, you must notify SteadyState Work Partners™ in writing. Your cancellation date is the date we receive your written notification.

Before a program begins, we incur substantial administrative costs related to your registration. Therefore, if you must change or cancel your registration, the following fees apply:

Deferrals: Deferral requests must identify the future TAU engagement the participant wishes to attend. Tuition becomes 100% nonrefundable if a participant defers more than one time or does not attend another TAU engagement within 6 months of the original TAU Start Date.

Refunds: Any remaining balance after application of the cancellation fee may be applied to another TAU engagement within 6 months of the original TAU Start Date. After 6 months, the remaining balance is 100% nonrefundable.

No-Shows: Failure to attend without prior written cancellation does not create eligibility for a refund or deferral.

Substitutions: Enrollment is issued to the individual participant and may not be sold, assigned, or transferred to another person.

Enrolling Close to a Start Date. Participants who enroll after a cancellation or deferral deadline has already passed are subject to the terms applicable on the date of enrollment. Enrollment does not create or extend a cancellation or deferral period.

TAU includes an in-person outdoor field experience. Outdoor delivery is affected by conditions that cannot always be controlled in advance.

Individual field sessions may therefore be rescheduled, relocated, or modified when reasonably necessary because of weather, trail or site conditions, closures, safety considerations, permitting or authorization requirements, or other circumstances affecting field operations.

A change to an individual field-session date, time, or location does not by itself constitute cancellation of your TAU engagement. We will provide updated field information as soon as reasonably practicable.

If SteadyState Work Partners™ cancels your TAU engagement before it begins, you will be offered either:

  • Transfer to another available TAU engagement, or
  • A full refund of tuition paid

SteadyState Work Partners™ is not responsible for airfare, lodging, rental vehicles, lost wages, or other participant expenses unless required by law.

Participants concerned about unexpected illness, injury, family emergencies, or other circumstances that may prevent participation may wish to consider independent travel and/or tuition protection insurance.

SteadyState Work Partners™ does not provide, sell, broker, or administer insurance or insurance claims. Coverage is governed solely by the terms of any policy purchased by the participant.
